Shelby’s engagement is the talk of the town\, but the joy and excitement of her wedding quickly turn to concern as she faces a risky pregnancy and a myriad of health complications. Eventually\, when Shelby dies from complications related to her diabetes\, M’Lynn has to deal with the most difficult of life’s challenges: the loss of one’s only child. As the women of Chinquapin makes their ways over life’s many hurdles together\, they find comfort (and a fair amount of verbal ribbing) in one another. “You have no idea how wonderful you are\,” M’Lynn tells the ladies at the end of the play. If you come Rt8\, about 5 miles before the Town of Floyd\, turn Right on Rt 730 (Ridgeview Rd). Continue to the stop sign on Rt 750 (Alum Ridge Rd). Go straight on Rt 730 (now Duncan’s Chapel) to a Left on RT 787 (Indian Valley Rd). Go 4 miles to the Replenish Festival on the Left! If you are coming down I-77\, use the West/South directions.

DESCRIPTION:Curious about relationships? Relationships with yourself\, others or the world around us?\nJoin Sandy Jahmi Burg\, author\, Certified Focusing Coordinator\, and neuroscience educator\, as we use stories and role play to explore relational skills that help us shape a healthy brain from our daily interactions.\nSandy will entertain us with some nature-themed excerpts from her Smartview Stories books. These books feature Floyd-like characters living in an imaginary community as well as 3 Inner Companions who help them navigate life. The Inner Companions are based on concepts of neuroscience\, teaching us about our body and brain. We may get some role play rolling as well!\nOur 3 Inner Companions will be available for kids of all ages to hold.
