Ukulele 101 with David Cannaday

March 21, 2020 : 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Join Handmade Music School instructor David Cannaday for a beginner ukulele workshop on Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 3:30-5:30pm. Cost is $65 for workshop + new Ukulele, $30 for workshop only.

This will be a family friendly, kid friendly workshop priced with a Ukulele. It is a great way to get started with an instrument! Or, makes an excellent gift!

David started teaching at 15 years old. He has worked in music stores and teaching studios ever since. David plays with his own variety band “Stairwell” that offers country, bluegrass, and oldies rock & roll. He is also a member of bluegrass band “Southern Rail Express” and works as a sideman with many other groups as well.

He has produced many recordings including his own “Inheritance Bluegrass Band” with special guest Dan Tyminski, “Virginia Bluegrass Sampler – Carry Me Back To Old Virginia”, and the most current “Alleghany Rails – A Collection of Railroad Folk Songs From Virginia’s Rail Heritage Region”.

Workshop will take place upstairs at the Floyd Country Store. Age 12 and younger must be accompanied by a participating adult.
