SustainFloyd Spring Film Series: Seed: The Untold Story

February 22, 2018 : 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$5.00

The first film of SustainFloyd’s 2018 Spring series is Seed: The Untold Story on February 22nd at 6PM.

“Few things on Earth are as miraculous and vital as seeds. Worshiped and treasured since the dawn of humankind, these subtle flecks of life are the source of all existence. Like tiny time capsules, they contain the songs, sustenance, memories, and medicines of entire cultures. They feed us, clothe us, and provide the raw materials for our everyday lives. In a very real sense, they are life itself.”

Join us for this incredibly important film about seeds and the importance they hold for us every day from the food you eat to the clothes you wear.

“As many irreplaceable seeds near extinction, SEED reveals the harrowing and heartening story of passionate seed keepers as they wage a David and Goliath battle against chemical seed companies, defending a 12,000 year food legacy.”

The film will be screened at The Floyd Country Store (203 Locust St.) and doors open at 6PM for a potluck with neighbors and friends. A $5 donation at the door is appreciated.

We hope to see you there!
