Mithila Medley: Art Talk by John H. Bowles

John H. Bowles, co-curator of “Mithila Medley: Contemporary Arts from an Ancient Culture in North India”, will be giving an Art Talk at the Floyd Center for the Arts on Thursday, November 10 at 7pm.
Join us to hear the rich narratives and cultural insights about the Mithila region of India and the incredible artists and art that come from it. An exhibition in collaboration with Radford University and Miller-off-Main Street Gallery, “Mithila Medley” features a collection of contemporary Indian art. These paintings depict both traditional cultural myths and spiritual narratives, as well as contemporary issues including climate change, COVID-19, and feminism.
