Fields Edge Farm Fall Festival

Come visit the farm in the season of abundance. We are hosting an open house with fun farm activities to interested the kids, the foodies, the gardeners and you!
11am History Tour will take visitors on a tour through the agricultural rush fork valley which has been farmed by the Slusher family for 125 years . Learn about the old ways of doing things, view family photos, old tools, and a vast collection of indigenous artifacts from early residents of the valley too.
1pm Farm tour with manager Kat Johnson, learn about how Fields Edge grows produce organically for local grocery stores, restaurants, and food hubs. See your food growing in the field, visit the packhouse, and Learn the tricks of the trade.
Face Painting – For Kids of all ages
Wagon Rides – up the scenic rush fork valley, perhaps the most beautiful road in Floyd.
Farm Stand Open- purchase some of the bounty from the farm, beef and produce available. Meet your farmers.
Artifacts- View the thousands of years old indigenous artifact collection from the valley.
U-Pick Flowers for $10 you can make your own bouquet from the flower patch
Music – live music
Local Food – available for lunch and picnics
Slusher Park -volleyball, swingset, sandbox and creek this family gathering place is a serene setting for the whole family, and a pavilion in case it rains.
