Join us for one of SWVA’s finest cover bands – devoted to delivering stirring renditions of Yacht Rock and other retro jams! This will be a GREAT night!
Empty Bottles began in 2014 as an amalgamation of open mic veterans searching for an identity. The multi-genre exploration resulted in an amorphous sound that changed set to set and song to song.
Founding members Joey Dennis (guitar), Ben Hite (keys and vocals), and Steele Whisnant (bass and vocals) were joined in 2017 by Matt Faszewski (sax and vocals) and finally in 2020 by Chad Hester (percussion and vocals) and the 5 piece quickly settled into the role of the New River Valley’s premier Yacht Rock cover band.
The group sources material from iconic legends such as Kenny Loggins, Hall and Oates, and the Doobie Brothers. With dynamic vocal harmonies and driving dance grooves, these fellas will put the wind back in anyone’s sails. So grab yourself a dance partner and get ready for a smooth voyage.
