Potluck Dinner & Film –

SustainFloyd Film Series begins for Fall – with

LOOK & SEE” A Portrait of Wendell Berry is about the value of local culture and small family farms. It follows Berry’s lifetime work observing, describing, and advocating for the natural world and those who try to live in harmony in it.

This film is a powerful evocation of Berry’s concerns about the loss of a farming lifestyle based in values of community and respect for the land and his continuing efforts to keep attention on these issues.

Thank you to Partnership for Floyd for sponsoring this important film. Please join us for a potluck at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12th, where you are encouraged to bring your own dish to share and plates to reduce trash. Coffee will be provided by the The Floyd Country Store.

Stay after the film for what promises to be an interesting discussion about how we experience the changes, the challenges, and the possibilities of Floyd.

The doors to the The Floyd Country Store open at 6 p.m. for a community potluck with the films starting at 6:30 p.m. A short discussion of the film will follow. A small $5 donation at the door is appreciated.
