Open House!

It’s time to officially welcome our new Floyd County Parks and Recreation Authority Director, Andy Mabe, to Floyd County! To this end the Authority will be hosting an Open House at the Parks and Recreation Office located at 209B Fox St NW, Floyd, VA on Saturday, November 3rd from 2pm to 4pm to welcoming Andy and allowing the community to meet him and the Authority Board.
Andy became director on October 1st and has taken off running, ensuring that our recreation programs are in place and on schedule. He brings with him many years of experience in the recreation field working with Henry County Parks and Recreation Department and most recently with Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department.
Andy is available at the office and via phone/email, weekdays during normal business hours. Though he doesn’t stop there as many of you have seen him at Saturday football games and at the recent FCHS Varsity Volleyball Senior game night.
Bring the kids, bring your ideas, comments and suggestions regarding the Parks and Recreation Authority. There will be sandwiches, drinks, & desserts. We hope you will come out to the Open House, enjoy some refreshments and welcome Andy!
