Old Time Fiddle and Banjo Repertoire Workshop

The Handmade Music School presents an old time fiddle and banjo repertoire workshop with Lucas Pasley and Chris Johnson on Saturday, January 18th, 2020 from 3:30 to 5:00pm. Cost is $30.

Fiddler Lucas Pasley and banjo player Chris Johnson are members of the old time band Gap Civil, based in Sparta, NC. Their music is rooted in the traditions of our region, a diamond-shaped area extending roughly from Sparta, Lowgap, Galax, and Whitetop. They formed the band to play at their local square dance, the Alleghany Jubilee, but love playing for other dances and concerts throughout the region and are frequently seen trying their luck (and winning prizes!) at the fiddlers conventions.
