Noble’s Birthday Party and Canine Costume Contest

Join in celebration of Noble’s 4th birthday. It’s a canine costume party held in conjunction with Floyd County Humane Society’s Pet Adoption Day at Chateau Morrisette. First place prize for best costume is a $100 Chateau Morrisette gift certificate, second place is a $50 gift certificate, and third place is choice of any t-shirt in the Tasting Room. All entrants will receive a Chateau Morrisette gift bag. We do ask that each contestant make a $5 donation at registration with all proceeds going to Floyd Humane. After the contest, the humans will celebrate with birthday cake! Sunday Sounds music provided by Kat Mills. Bring a camp chair as seating is limited. Here are the details:

Contest Details:

Registration will be in front of the Tasting Room main entrance beginning at 1:30. Each entrant will be asked to provide notes with the name and description (fun facts) of your dog and its costume
Your $5 registration fee will be donated to Floyd Humane Society
At 2:30, contestants will gather on the crush pad patio and line up for the parade and judging. Volunteers from Floyd Humane will serve as judges
Parade/judging begins promptly at 3
Entry Number must be attached to the owner and visible to the judges
Winners will be announced as soon as contest is complete and judges votes are tallied
Entrants will be judged on Creativity (40%), Presentation (30%), Humor (10%), and Audience Impact (20%)

Contest Rules:

Entries are limited to one (1) dog and its owner
Owners must remain with dog at all times
Dogs must be leashed at all times
Rabies and vaccinations must be current
Dogs in heat are not allowed
No aggressive dogs
Puppies under 4 months are not allowed
Please pick up after your dog – we will provide bags but you should also have a backup
Costumes must be safe and comfortable for dogs
