The Floyd Country Store’s Handmade Music School and Southern Mountain Melodies are offering a one day intermediate workshop for fiddle, guitar, and banjo. The class takes place on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Mac & Jenny Traynham’s house.
Learn to play Blue Ridge-style dance music in a place where dancing to old time music has naturally occurred for generations, Floyd County, Virginia! Participants will learn some of the tried and true mountain dance tunes in a rhythmic style that is full of tradition and excitement.
Cost is $75 for early bird registration (through June 16) or $85 (June 17 – July 14). Lunch at the Floyd Country Store is included in the cost.
