How are you moving through Life?
If your Body could speak, what would it say?
This free workshop is designed to provide an opportunity for us to tap into our inner rhythms using the TAMALPA LIFE/ART® Process. We will begin with an individual and collective movement exploration to tune the physical body to sensation and feeling. After a short break, through the art mediums of drawing and creative writing, we will delve into the patterns that emerged through the movement exploration. In closing, participants will share with and witness one another, creating connection in our collective life experience.
No previous experience in dance or art is needed. Come “as is” with the intention to heighten your somatic body awareness, express your creative potential, deepen your understanding of how you move through life and to generate new resources for empowered movement.
WHAT IS TAMALPA LIFE/ART® Process?
Tamalpa Life /Art® Process is a movement-based expressive arts practice, which combines movement/dance, visual art, creative writing and performance techniques to access the innate wisdom of the body and the transformative power of the imagination. In this internationally-recognized work, developed by Anna and Daria Halprin, movement and dance are used as essential elements in the education and unfolding of the individual and collective body, mind and spirit.
