6th Annual ProjectFloyd Service Day

ProjectFloyd is a multi-generational, multi-disciplinary annual community-wide service day put on by Floyd County Young Life. Every year 100-150 volunteers come out to take part in service projects around the county such as yard work, painting, house cleaning, car-washing, recycling, gardening, landscaping, cleaning/organizing, window-washing, and small building projects.

One of Young Life’s purposes is to get kids to think about their time and lives selflessly and learn to give their energy and resources to serve others. By partnering youth with local adults we hope to foster multi-generational relationships so that they will enter adulthood with a desire to serve others and give back to their community, while having experience in building relationships with adults.
