2017 New River Polar Plunge Fest

February 18, 2017 : 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Free

Break out your swim trunks and get set to get wet at the NEW RIVER POLAR PLUNGE® FEST, where hundreds will make their wintry dash into the frigid New River.

This event, on February 18, 2017 in the New River located at Dudley’s Landing in Bisset Park, Radford , VA, will bring together New River Valley communities together to raise awareness and funds for the athletes that participate in Special Olympics Virginia. They will do this by plunging into the New River. This event is free, but in order to take the Plunge there is a $100 fundraising minimum! When you raise $100 you will receive a commemorative T-shirt and when you raise $300 you will receive a Plunge Beach Towel! The more you raise the more you earn!

The New River Valley Polar Plunge is a part of a 4-event statewide tradition that has raised millions of dollars for Special Olympics Virginia. All of the programs provided by Special Olympics Virginia are free of charge for people with and without intellectual disabilities. Sign up today and help us reach our goal of $75,000!
